A New Career.

Shropshire, EnglandI am a 23 year old singer and songwriter from a small town in Shropshire. I first read and The Secret when I was 13 from one of my mum's very successful friends. I have introduced my close family and friends to the law of attraction the past few years and they are finally understanding and realizing it all now. They have had a lot of time to slow down this year and have noticed things around them. I am so grateful to have such lovely, outgoing people around me.
I had worked in a bar since I was 18. So for the past 5 years, I had been working very unsociable hours, serving drinks and meals to very ungrateful customers in a very busy environment. I cleaned and mopped the toilets every morning and I use to feel a lot of pain in my back while carrying the heavy Hoover up the stairs every shift!
After a few years of working in the industry, I realized I had not been using the law of attraction for several years. I had first read and watched The Secret when I was 13. The book was given to my mum by one of her successful friends.
A group of local, older men used to come into the pub about three times a week. A few of them had known of the law of attraction for a long time, so I really enjoyed talking to them when the shift was quiet. One of the men heard me complain about my unsociable job so much that he told me to imagine that I didn’t work there. So I turned up at the same time every morning and would smile while cleaning the toilets and feel grateful for my very exciting job, all though it wasn’t. I started listening to music and The Secret audio book while I cleaned before the pub opened, and I imaging that I had a dream job. I found myself in a great mood.
The only doubt that was holding me back was that I lived in a very small town full of pubs. Where was I going to get a job that wasn’t at another pub?! I tried to focus on the positive and continued listening to The Secret over and over and all the new books that I had no idea had been released. I kept saying “I have a 9 to 5 job. My boss appreciates me. I love my job and everyone is so friendly.”
I could not believe it when I saw an advert for a local 8:30 to 4:30 job. It was a five minute walk from my house, working in an office with a very good wage. I applied but I was unsuccessful. I didn’t think this was right so I rang them up and explained my situation. They said that they were looking for someone with experience. However, they were also looking for someone with no experience, to train on the job! I applied and I had an interview a week later.
I got the job! Everyone is so lovely! It is a five minute walk from my house, the pay is great and I have a chair that supports my back!! I am writing this from my desk! I am so grateful.
