A man who appreciates me
Submitted by: Stef L
Miami, FLI'm a happy go lucky person who usually sees the positive in personal experiences. I was divorced 5 years ago and since then I decided that I needed time to myself. During that time I remembered who I am, discovered my goals, took classes to make multiple streams of income, and been on a social hiatus.
For the last 5 years I’ve been alone… by choice. I took the time after my divorce to really find myself and what I want in life. I was never lonely as I attended seminars and workshops and met many like-minded people.
Over the past few months I decided that I want someone in my life. I wrote out what I was looking for personally, physically, socially, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and financially. I wrote it out as I’m so happy and grateful now that… I’ve found a man who truly madly deeply loves me and appreciates me and my goals. etc. I would read this daily. I then started looking… not something I recommend as I met MANY strange people.
One day I was in Orlando for a seminar when I started talking to a friend of mine who works with the company that was holding the seminar. We talked and he found out that I was looking for a companion. I was telling him about the men that I’ve been meeting and how it’s almost disheartening. He said that I will find one who could see the wonderful person I am and love me for who I am. We talked a bit more then parted ways.
Later that night I went out with a friend of mine from high school and she asked if it was ok for another friend of hers to meet up with us. I didn’t care.
He was wonderful. We have seen each other every day we’re in the same town since. I had to go to Orlando to meet a man who lives 15 miles from my house. He is a really special person, and a few weeks back this thought popped into my head when I was watching him sleep… “God I love this man. Thank you for sending him into my life.” I was floored!
What is amazing me more is that before he knew what I was studying he told me that he is interested in Real Estate Investing… I have 2 years of learning under my belt. He trusts me where I’ve been lacking, and now that I’m the mentor and he is ready for more in his life, we are joining as business partners.
