I wanted to tell my story for a long time. To start, I first heard of The Secret back in 2008, my wife introduced me to The Secret. I saw The Secret movie and read The Secret book. I used the various downloads over the years.

My first experience was when we lived in a half-double home. The neighbors were not the best, but I continued to be the best neighbor I could be. The couple finally divorced and I began imagining that we owned both sides of the house and made it into one large home. I thought that I couldn’t make it happen because we did not have the income.

When the home came on the market, I also got a consulting job that paid me the $15,000 I needed to offer a down payment and buy the other half. We were ecstatic. We made both sides our own.

Shortly after that, I wanted a new car. I continued to imagine what I wanted. In 2013, I bought a new vehicle and paid cash for investments.

I think shortly after, I began to forget about The Secret. We ended in bankruptcy. It was humiliating and difficult. I remembered The Secret and I focused on the Universe’s help.
For nearly five years we struggled. I did not give up. I reminded myself of The Secret and continued to watch the videos I downloaded. I have the Genie as my background on my computer as a reminder.

When I reached 66, I was informed I could work and collect Social Security. I immediately increased my income and reduced my bankruptcy debt every month. I also was promoted at work to a directorship, increasing my salary. Although this began during the Covid pandemic, I was confident in directing the programs under me.

It did not stop there. My programs continued to expand in 2022 and I received another increase. Our one vehicle required extensive work and we decided to retire it. After a few months, we realized that a second vehicle was needed. We thought that an electric car would be a good option. However, we found ourselves looking everywhere to no avail.

We kept focused on the Universe. We got some promises but they did not meet our needs. If we waited until next year, we could receive a $7,500 tax refund. At first, no one would wait.
One day, my daughter’s fiancée discovered a dealership that had the one we wanted and was expecting others in 2023. I said we need to go there and arrange it in person. We went and found in the lot a new EUV. Unfortunately, it had a “sold” sign on it. We talked to the salesperson and even said, “Too bad that one is sold or we would be interested.” Not five minutes later, the sales manager came to him saying the sale fell through and it was not sold. Immediately, I said. “If we can wait until January 1st, I will buy it.” He talked to his manager and a deal was made.

We took possession of a new Bolt EUV on January 3, 2023. Not only did we get a $7,500 refund on our 2023 taxes, but an additional $750 off the price and $1,250 on a charger in the garage with the potential of another $1,000 in a tax refund!

What is now in store for this year? I am starting my own practice and even though it has begun slowly, the pieces are falling into pace. I continue to thank the Universe and offer gratitude daily. I continue to give love to all and not only give gratitude but give to those in need. In our household, we have nine rescued cats who receive our love and attention.
