I’m 18 years old and female, and have been out of high school for several months. I got The Secret by Rhonda Byrne for my birthday and read it all the very first day. I’ve been applying it to everything and I KNOW it works. However, in the past month, I had almost completely forgotten about The Secret.

Last week I applied for a job. I went in to the interview totally unprepared, and the employer didn’t even know I was coming. She told me she would most likely not hire me because I had worked with an agency who has a contract with her business and she told me that she would be “stealing me as an employee”. Well, after that I was feeling so bad about myself and angry that I walked right out to my car, and angrily stuck the key in the door. To my surprise, it snapped right in half while still in the door. I stood there with half a key, even more angry. That’s when I remembered The Secret and that the way you feel about something is going to manifest more of it. I had woken up frustrated and manifested this horrible interview. Then I had been frustrated about that and manifested the broken key in the lock. Incredulous that I attracted so much turmoil in one afternoon, I immediately stopped myself and thought to myself, the key will come out, the job will be mine and all will be good again.

My mother arrived shortly after to help me and try and help get the key out. I began visualizing myself holding the other half of the key and hearing it slide right out of the key-hole. All of a sudden I wondered if keys were magnetic and if we could maybe use a very strong magnet to pull the key out. Using a magnet I had on my key chain, we used the magnet to pull the key right out, instantly. I held the half key in my hand just like I had in my “unseen” vision and felt the joy and gratefulness that the key was out and wouldn’t cause any more trouble.

Later that day, I was sitting around watching Family Guy, when I took the broken key and the magnet out of my pocket and began fiddling with both. As I mindlessly did this, I suddenly realized that the key was not magnetized to the magnet at all, yet somehow the key had almost jumped right out of the keyhole to the magnet earlier that day. I even tried to re-magnetize the key by rubbing it together with the magnet and it just would not work. I never told my mom about this, and I won’t ever know how it works, but I know what power is serving us all. Now I will never ever doubt.
