For more than 6 years my husband, myself, his siblings and their spouses did not communicate. Gossip, jealousy and animosity had taken control of our lives! I really thought that it would be this way forever.

One day I was feeling really down and my husband kept trying to lift my spirits, but it didn’t help. The next morning I was still feeling very bitter about myself and life. That evening I picked my husband up from work as usual and he handed me a dvd. I looked at it and it said “The Secret”. I asked him what the dvd was about, and he stated to me that he had been consulting with a co-worker of his about how I had been feeling. He said that his co-worker told him that he was going to give him a movie for me to watch and that it would help me. So of course I was negative about it. I got home and I didn’t have the desire to watch it. After flipping thorough all the channels I told my husband to put the dvd on. He did. I watched it with an opened heart and mind. I suddenly began to feel different. I was very excited and told my husband that this is what I’ve been missing in my life. I watched it for 2 days. I decided to make a wish list, so I began to write down all the things that I wanted to attract into my life, and being a family was one of them.

Things began to change instantly. A week later we were visiting my husband’s parents and we began to talk about how we needed to become a family again. After all those years for the first time my husband, his sister and his brother began speaking to each other like nothing ever happened. Since then we have been spending time with each other and are speaking to one another on the telephone. My mother-in-laws birthday was coming up very soon so we decided to take a family picture and give her a surprise birthday party and give her the family picture we had taken as a gift. We had the party and her grandchildren handed her the picture and she began to cry. She hugged each one of us and said that she always had faith that we would all be a family again! This will be the first time we will be spending the holidays together!

The Secret has changed my life! I now own the book and I have shared it with other people. I wish I had known about The Secret years ago. I am very thankful! By the way, I visualized checks coming in the mail and a few days later I received 2 checks in the mail. So I would like to say thank you again!
