Oxford, United KingdonI run a company, Relax Kids - books and CDs and classes to help children to Relax. I live in a little cottage called Fairytale Cottage, and my business is all about using fairy tales to help children relax.
I am 39 and have not been in a relationship for most of my adult life. I watched The Secret and thought I would use it to find my perfect partner. I went on a 3 week yoga holiday. Every day I went for a walk twice a day and listened to The Secret. I would write affirmations, and I made a book, where I listed the qualities my perfect partner would have. I even wrote the story of what happened in my book.
I came back from holiday and put up an ad on the internet – PRINCE WANTED! Cinderella is looking for a non-smoking vegetarian prince. At the end I wrote – Cinderella is very good at manifesting her destiny – are you part of it!
I had 20 replies but one stood out. He wrote like a prince of old. We emailed for a week and he said, ‘These emails have changed my life – I have never smiled so much. I am willing to risk losing these emails to say – can we meet.’
We arranged to meet at Blenheim Palace on the Saturday. BUT… The day before, I went to a cafe to meet a friend. I received a text from him saying, are you at …..cafe? I couldn’t believe it! He told me afterwards that he had come there for his lunch and as he was eating, the world disappeared and he just felt that I was in the room. He looked up and recognised me from my picture.
We met the next day, got on, and he asked me to marry him after 4 days!
We are getting married at Blenheim Palace on June 1st 2008 – a year later on the exact day and time of him seeing me in the cafe!
I cannot begin to tell you how he fits my perfect partner list – COMPLETELY!
