A Come-Back Story
My income was decreasing at a shocking rate due to cut backs – this trend continued for years. I would have gone somewhere else but this is a small town and I just didn’t see anywhere else to go. Feeling that some income was better than no income, I stayed put.
I become increasingly depressed. I fell deeper and deeper in debt as I struggled to keep my head above water. Finally I was forced to overcome my shame and embarrassment and tell my husband how bad it was really getting. Together we made the heartbreaking decision to re-mortgage our home and hope for the best.
At this same time I was reading The Secret, watching The Secret DVD, and listening to the CD in my car daily as I picked up kids. Immediately my wages started to come back. Really come back! Not twice what they had dropped to but twice what they had been at the very best times.
That’s not all that was happening. My estranged daughter in law moved to town and I was able to see the grandchildren I missed so much, daily. I become their pick up and after school babysitter. I was able to buy a small condo and give them a safe and inexpensive place to live.
I still have bills and surprise expenses, but now I have the money to cover them. My way of thanking the Universe and the good people of The Secret is I have bought and distributed many copies of the book amongst friends and family. I left a copy of it at the doctor’s office – one rule: when they finished with it they had to pass it on. I bought an MP3 player for my niece and gave her a CD of the Secret to play on it. My niece went from supporting her family of 3 children and a couple of adult relatives on the wages of a waitress, to completing courses at the local College and getting a very good job that pays well and that she loves. Oh, you are probably wondering about those relatives of hers… Well, after an incredible delay, her husband’s Green Card finally came through, and he immediately found work, and her mother was finally able to get her business off and running and is now able to support herself.
