I would like share an experience of how one of my 3 year old students unknowingly used the law of attraction. Watching this work for him has given me faith that this is true and really works!

A few days ago, Sam, an impossibly adorable 3 year old boy came up to me in the lobby and asked, “Do you want to play with me?” How could I say “no” to that!? I answered, “What do you want to play?” He responded, “Fire Chief!”

Sam then guided me through how to play “fire chief.” We sat down in an imaginary fire-truck, strapped in our seat-belts, he made an incredible realistic siren noise, and we were off to the fire! I continued to act out the imaginary fire rescue for several minutes. Not long into our theatrics, other children were attracted to the game and joined in on the action.

Recognizing that I was no longer needed as Sam’s play-mate, I went over and sat with his mother. His mother told me how he is constantly talking about firemen and is “obsessed” with anything to do with them! She said that he never leaves the house without his plastic fire hat, just in case they see a fireman. She said that any time she goes to the grocery store, they see a fire-truck there. Anytime she turns on the TV for Sam, there is a fire-truck. I didn’t realize at the moment that Sam’s mother was describing how the law of attraction was working for her 3 year old little boy.

Fast-forward to this morning. Sam and his mother had just left the gym and I went into my office to get some work done. A few moments later, I heard some of my employees in the lobby shouting and laughing, “No way! Can you believe that?” I came out of the office to see what was causing the commotion, looked out the window, and saw a firetruck parked right in front of Sam and his mother, who were standing on the corner!

I ran outside to see how a fire-truck ended up parked right in front of Sam. His mother said that she and Sam (who was wearing his fireman hat and T shirt) were just walking over to the grocery store, and the firetruck was making a non-emergency stop and happened to park RIGHT IN FRONT OF SAM! He was ECSTATIC! While one of the firemen went inside to handle whatever situation they were called to, two other fireman gave Sam a tour of the fire-truck, flashed their lights, honked the horn, etc. His mother and I sat there and shook our heads, and I commented to her, “Now THAT’S the law of attraction in full effect!” While Sam’s mother and I were shocked by this “coincidence,” Sam didn’t seem surprised at all. It was as if he expected this to happen.

This little boy has given me so much faith. Why can’t I just expect things to happen to me? How can I summon that kind of faith and understanding? It seems that as we age, our struggles and hardships somehow corrupt our minds and cause us to lose faith and doubt ourselves. Funny, we think that as we age our understanding of the world increases, but in most cases I believe that children have such a pure, uncorrupted mind that they see things more clearly. I am so grateful for this experience because I am skeptical by nature, and I need clear, unarguable proof to fully believe in something. This experience could NOT be a coincidence, and it has restored my faith. I can’t wait to start seeing things through the eyes of a child and manifest my dreams and desires into reality!
