I bought my copy of The Secret about two years ago in Doha airport, Qatar during a very long lay over. The book loomed out at me and seemed like it could bring me more than I ever imagined. From reading the book I created a vision board and whilst the effects were not dramatic I did start to achieve some of the things on my vision board, including holidays I wanted to take with particular people, attracting a VERY good looking man into my life and having the clothes I wanted to wear. I lent my copy of The Secret to a friend and began to realize that not everyone I spoke to really ‘got’ what I was talking about. I still practiced many of the lessons from The Secret in terms of the way I approached life and the world but I was not on an active Secret mission.

About 50 days ago a very good friend asked me if I had read The Secret as she had just recently read it herself and watched the movie. We began to talk about the possibilities and she asked me if I would be interested to join her in ‘100 Days of Attraction’ – I immediately said YES!

We both wrote lists of all the things we would like to attract into our lives over the next 100 days and decided to report back to each other at regular intervals. The 100 days is still not over but let’s just say the results so far have been amazing!

On the day I wrote my list of things I wanted to attract I was introduced to a friend of a friend who is one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. We hit it off in an instant. I knew that day that she was part of The Secret, as through my 100 Days of Attraction I wanted to attract two new friends and this wonderful woman is certainly turning out to be a great friend.

Perhaps my most quantifiable Secret success is the large sum of money I received from the tax office and the fact that I have been given a tax-free status. The tax refund was for the exact amount I had written on my personal cheque from the tax office to try and attract more wealth. I have found an apartment in the Swiss Alps to rent for the winter season, a picture of which I’ve had on my vision board for a while, and I have just been successful in finding a new apartment to move into – something which is not usually easy in Geneva where there are 350 people looking for every available apartment. I ‘acted as if’ I already had the apartment, I told everyone where it was, when I would be moving in, I’ve been looking at furniture and planning the décor. Before reading The Secret I would not have told anyone for fear of ‘jinxing’ my chances, now I know that didn’t work because I never really believed I had a chance of receiving what I wanted. All of this success in less than 50 days, just half of our 100 Days of Attraction.

As my friend and I reported to each other we stopped saying ‘this is freaky /weird / a coincidence’ and started saying ‘wow, this is normal, this is how it supposed to be, this is ATTRACTION.’ Now we tell each other how ‘attractive’ we are and we’re not just talking about how we look!!! The Secret and our 100 Days of Attraction has truly made me realize the power I have within me and the incredible possibilities that lay ahead for the rest of my life. It has also helped me understand the power of really believing in what you want. I am beginning to be far more capable of deciphering between what I think I should do and have to what I really want and do to have. One of my biggest breakthroughs has been to stop the planning that always goes on in my head and to just focus on what I want the end result to be. The planning is the thing that prevents me from freeing my mind to choose anything I want from this world, because with planning you can’t always see the way things are going to happen. Now I know I don’t have to know the how I just have to know the what. This has enabled me to ask the Universe for things that I never would have set in my sights before because I couldn’t see how I would achieve them. Now I know this is not my business to work out the how and I let the Universe get on with it.

The other part of The Secret that for me is crucial to my ability to attract the life I want is visualization and the story of John Assaraf in The Secret always moves me and inspires me. It is the reason I created a vision board right after my first reading of The Secret.

I broke up with my partner just a few months ago, and I have not been able to imagine how, when or where I might find my new perfect life partner. So I did the one thing I could do, I began to visualize. Now I visualize my perfect life partner on his way to me. I don’t know when he will arrive or who he will be or what he will look like but I know he is on a journey to find me and that the Universe will take care of the details. So instead of me worrying about the details I just visualize his journey, and when I’m really ready to receive him I will begin to visualize his arrival. This visualization has helped me feel powerful, hopeful and in control rather than all the opposite things I could have felt after breaking up with my previous partner.

This incredible experience has had me telling everyone I know about our 100 Days of Attraction and I have begun attracting more and more people into my life who are interested in living this way. I have friends writing cheques to themselves, keeping lists of qualities they want in their perfect partner, and starting 100 Days of Attraction catalogues. The thing I am most excited about is my next 100 Days of Attraction, or to put it more accurately the rest of my life. Now I have proven to myself how powerful The Secret is and how it really does work, my possibilities are endless.
