After an unexpected break-up with my boyfriend, Sathian, I was feeling really depressed and felt like there was now a giant void in my life. We were supposed to get married this year. I had always believed in The Secret, so when I was feeling down I would either watch the video online or read my favourite parts out of the book or read about other peoples success stories… I started to feel better, and I started to gain back something I had lost… hope.

Sathian and I had broken up in May, and after a month of not being together, we started talking and meeting about the house that we bought. We regularly met because of the house renovation. We started hanging out together for a few hours, and watched a movie together, and I went home feeling happy.

He started calling me everyday for a week. After that he would distant himself. Without hearing from him – but I held onto the hope that he would come around. Over the course of the following months we repeated the same pattern – we would hang out, watching movies and cuddling, and then he would distance himself again. It seemed like every time we started to get close he would intentionally distance himself.

This continued on for 3 months, but I held onto my hope. I believed with all my heart that he would realize that I could make him happy. I knew there was something holding him back that he seemed scared to get close, and I prayed and had faith that whatever it was, he would overcome it. I wasn’t sure how it would happen, but it didn’t really matter – I knew he would get past it.

A few weeks ago we were having another one of our movie nights. As I lay in his arms I focused all my energy on enjoying the moment, enjoying the feel of having him there with me, enjoying his company. I felt appreciative for the time I got to spend with him.

Over time he wanted to see me again! He became more affectionate than usual, he continually sighed happily when he held me, I wasn’t sure of what to think of it all when he suddenly asked, “So do you think we can make each other happy…?”

I looked up at him and replied, “I really do.”

We’ve been together ever since. He calls me every day, and we see each other as often as we can. He always tells me how happy he is, and he’s a better boyfriend then he was when we were first together. He is much more attentive, loving, and caring then I could ever have imagined.

I am so grateful to God, and to Rhonda and the Secret Team, because without my faith and hope, I would have given up a long time ago, and would not have known this joy =)
