I have used The Secret many times in the past including finding my husband. Somehow, I had let myself forget.

The problems with the economy have hit southwest Florida pretty hard. I work for a non-profit organization and recently experienced my hours being cut back. This really hit us because I had become the main breadwinner. My husband has a business and for the past two years it has been pretty slow.
Many months he had not had any work. He looked for jobs to supplement our income but was often told that he was “overqualified”. He was starting to get depressed over the financial difficulties.

My son brought over “The Secret” DVD one evening. “You’ve got to watch this, Mom”. I sat down and watched the DVD, he tried to get my husband to watch it, but he didn’t really pay much attention to it. I watched it and a light went on. I have been speaking negatively about our business and our finances for the past two years. No wonder we’ve had these problems.

I went to the library and checked the book out and read it. Then I put in a request at the library for the DVD. Every day I would read the book or watch the movie. I bought the movie. Then I bought the audio book and started listening to it every day. I would also watch the DVD at least once a week. I decided to absolutely fill my mind with the positives. I started to change

Every month I had been sweating about how we would pay our mortgage. I decided to write a check from the universe for what we needed. The first month we didn’t get all the money, but somehow everything was paid on time. My husband was also offered a steady once-a-week opportunity.

July 1, I wrote a check from Adonai Jirah (the Lord my Provider) for $1,000 to help me to visualize. I put the check inside of my medicine cabinet so I would see it whenever I went to brush my teeth or fix my hair. I also started to say as I exercised each morning that we were money magnets and that my husband had plenty of paid work. I also kept a “Blessing Book,” where I listed everything that happened as an unexpected blessing each day. (By the end of the month I had filled 6 1/2 pages in the book of things given to us, unexpected money that came in, and other blessings.) I said “Thank you” to God many times each day. I would visualize having plenty of money to pay the bills early each morning and at night before going to sleep.

Long story short, throughout the month money came in frequently in various amounts. My husband has had extra projects come in and projects are still coming in. All the bills were paid early. Even the mortgage was paid 2 days early and we received $1018.00 total in unexpected income. My husband is becoming a believer in the power of right thinking and asked me to make him out some scripture affirmations that deal with making money.

Thank you for helping me to remember, “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.” It WORKS!!!!
