I just graduated in March this year with a degree in Engineering. This is the most unlucky time to come out from university, as the recession is taking its momentum.

I have been a keen practitioner of Law of Attraction since I read The Secret book in my university years. So, this was the perfect time to put my skills to good use. I do not only want a job, but an ideal job where I will gain business and management skills. I also want this job to give me fulfillment, satisfaction, and work-life balance. I wrote all these down and pasted it beside my computer where I could read it every day. Reading is not enough though, we must feel it – feel as though you got the job. This is a feeling universe, as is said in The Secret.

Then one day, a friend of mine gave me a headhunter website on hiring an IT consultant. I submitted my resume and two days later, they replied me and told me about the hiring company. I thought to myself this was what I was looking for. Then they arranged the interview with the hiring manager. Everything went so well and I felt that I’d already had the job. After the interview, the waiting game began. I wait and wait. In this time, my faith was put to the test. During this time, I read the newspaper every day to keep myself informed. Each time I read the bad news about the economy and how it affected the job market, I told myself that I should be more thankful to be able get the job that I wanted. I used positive self-talk to get me going. I said my thanks to the Universe for bringing me my ideal job. I believe everything was happening in perfect timing and the Universe was preparing the best for me.

After waiting for a month, I was asked to got for a second interview. This time it was not as well as the first interview. Nevertheless, I wrote a thank you note in a form of an email draft and saved it. In the thank you note, I thanked the job agency for making all the necessary arrangements that led to me landing the job. I talked as though I had the job. I also imagined that I wear smart clothes to go to work, and I even had the image of my own employee ID card complete with my photo and the company logo. Doubts do sometimes creep out, but I got rid of them by saying thank you to the Universe for bringing me my dream in divine timing.

After two weeks, the company called me and offer me the position, that had all the features that I want. The salary was also the one that I have expected! All this after three months of waiting game.

It’s amazing! The Law of Attraction works, I tell you! You just have to believe it. As said, “You ask, You believe, and You shall receive.”
