My first post is called “Financial relief when I least expected it”. In this post I talked about receiving a large and very unexpected check to pay off old debt that I had accrued as a young single mom. I was delighted when this happened, and attributed it all to The Secret and my willingness to be open minded about the Law of Attraction. Things have not stopped since!

The Car:

For years (at least five years) I have wanted a Volvo S60. To me, it’s the Mercedes-Benz of the Volvo car line. I absolutely love that car! I would see it on the road and nearly drive my Toyota into a ditch. It always kept me hypnotized!. It was just the perfect car for me. So in holding firm to The Secret and after watching the video at least a million times, I decided that I would feel good-really good about this car. I would pretend that as I left for work each day that I was walking to the driveway where my Volvo was parked. I would get inside of my Toyota and pretend that I was driving this Volvo S60. Each day, every time I got inside of my Toyota, my mind had just stepped into this Volvo and life was good-really, really good! I kept this going for a while-not as a chore but just because it made my heart flutter and I honestly got teary-eyed. I know, I sound obsessed and maybe I was but ultimately this was mapping my path.

So I decided one Saturday morning to go to the local Volvo dealership and test drive this car (remember from my last posting that I have some credit flaws). I go to the dealership beaming because I am literally and in reality about to step my feet into my dream car. So I’m driving and I’m watching every detail as this is happening trying to burn it into my memory (remember the guy from the movie looking at his hands? That is me right now.). We get back to the dealership and the salesman asks the inevitable question, “Well do you want to fill out some paperwork to see what we can do?”

Now for a moment, I felt the knots. The rejection knots. I have to exhale really hard and just have faith that the Secret would not let me down. So I went for it! It took about five hours before I got the call– I was approved. I’ll skip all the excitement that followed and believe me-there was A LOT and tell you how the deal panned out. They paid off the full $17K + that I still owed on my loan from Toyota (which looks really good on my credit), I got back $4,000.00 from the Toyota car warranties, didn’t owe a Volvo car payment for 1.5 months and yep… now I drive my silver Volvo S60 to work for real every day and it feels absolutely glorious!

Folks, if this isn’t proof… I honestly don’t know what is. Go for what you truly want! If you feel that it is a hassle to focus on your particular Want every day then consider that the Want might not be what you really want and keep your eyes open for the want that sings to your heart. If you want something bad enough-you will feel this feeling deep inside and every time you focus on it, it will be joyous-not chore-like at all.
