In 2021 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic my father was diagnosed with throat cancer. It had already been a trying year with the lockdowns and virtual school, and to top it off, my father had just recovered from open heart surgery in October. As a way to inspire him to fight the cancer, my sister promised him that when he was better in August she would take the whole family on a family reunion trip back to Cyprus, where my father is from. The last time we had all been to Cyprus as a family was in August of 2008. My father was born in Cyprus and his brother and relatives still live there, so this was a huge motivator for him.

My father began his radiation treatments in May and finished them in June. In July he went back for a check-up to see what the status of his throat cancer was and miraculously, the cancer was gone!

As promised, my sister booked a rental home in Cyprus for the month of August and she bought my father’s ticket. She wanted the whole family to come but I was not sure how I was going to come up with the money for our tickets.

I had read “The Secret” and “The Magic” and decided that I was going to manifest our tickets to Cyprus for myself, my son, and my husband. I taped a picture of myself standing on my favorite beach in Cyprus to my ceiling, right above my bed, so that I would see it every night and every morning when I woke up. On three stars around the picture, I wrote the words, “It is as easy to manifest a castle as a button, it is all about the vibration.” I did that to remind myself to be positive and believe that this trip was coming to myself and my family and that it was going to be the experience of a lifetime.

Two weeks before August 1st, which was the date my parents were leaving to meet my sister in Cyprus, we got a check in the mail from our mortgage company. We had just refinanced our home and got an additional check for $6,000 for the escrow. This unexpected check allowed us to book 3 tickets to Cyprus! We went for 10 days and had the most amazing experience with my family and relatives. My 10 year old son got to see the place where my father grew up and meet relatives that he didn’t know and best of all, I got to see my father happy and healthy back in his home.
