I am a fan of thriller, suspense, supernatural, and romance novels. So one fine day, I went to the bookstore to buy some random books for light reading. “The Secret” book caught my eye and I was curious about what it was all about. I was not into self motivation or spiritual books but somehow I felt like buying this book. When I finished reading, I laughed out loud and I felt that this book was ridiculous! Manifestation! What a load of rubbish!

But, I decided to give a try. I wanted to experiment to see if The Secret really exists. After thinking a bit, I decided that I wanted to see a red rose. I had not seen one for over a year.

It was a simple experiment but I knew it was impossible to see a red rose. That was because I was in the ‘routine rut’, going to the office and then back home. There was no way I could find a red rose unless someone proposed to me. There were no flower shops for miles as far as I could see, and flowers are banned in our office. So I gave myself three days and asked the Universe to give me a red rose. I kind of believed that I might get it but I was not that sure.

The first two days, I waited and there was nothing. On the third day, I forgot about it because my colleagues suddenly decided to go for an impromptu dinner at a hotel. We were trying to do that for the past two years but the plans kept getting cancelled. So, I was excited that we were finally having fun after a long time.

So we all went to the hotel and sat at our table. And on that table, stood a red rose in a glass vase! It was shining prettily in the dimmed lights and drawing the attention of many! I stared at it in shock and amazement. I had not seen one in over a year and here it was right in front of me!

It was then that I got a warm feeling as I sensed that the Universe was watching me and smiling from above. And it was a very friendly Universe. I took that red rose home and kept it in The Secret book to serve as a reminder.

From that day onward, I became a firm believer in The Secret and the law of attraction. I have asked for many things that I desired and ultimately they all were manifested. This stuff truly does work, and sometimes you really have your jaws open in shock!
