Passing My PMP.
Submitted by: Amy A.
California27 year old female.
I had decided to take my Project Management Professional exam or PMP in June. I signed up for a class that began in August. I had originally said I would try to take the test by Thanksgiving but kept pushing it out until I finally scheduled it for December 23rd and passed.
The journey: I was very nervous about the test as I heard that many people don’t pass. I had a friend who took the test and did not pass which started to worry me about my ability to pass my test. I remember hearing about how to manifest and I started to download images of green success/pass certificates. I started to imagine what it would feel like to pass. I must note that I was not doing this all day every day. I only did this when I started to doubt that I would pass. If I doubted it, I would pull up the images and scroll through them until I really felt the happiness of passing. I would do this for a couple of minutes and then I would go back to whatever I was doing, studying, or things around the house. A couple of nights before the exam I watched The Secret to really reinforce my mindset that I would pass.
The Exam: On the day of the exam I was so nervous that almost everything seemed to go went wrong at first. I was waiting for over an hour to be let in the session and I had to call the support team to make sure my exam wasn’t canceled as it said on the screen because I exceeded my wait time. It was hard to focus when the exam started because of nerves leftover from the beginning of the exam glitch. I forced myself to take a breather for a second and just imagined those green passing symbols and my name I photoshopped on a passing exam letter to really feel what it felt like to pass. I imagined these images in my head, anytime I felt doubt throughout the test. For me, that was every couple of questions.
The result: At the end of the test, I clicked the submit button, and just like that it said I passed! It was so unbelievable. The proctor had to tell me to remove my hand from my mouth. I was in such disbelief. The Secret worked. I honestly didn’t even feel like I knew 40% of the questions. I just kept imagining I would pass even though I didn’t even know the answers to most questions. I am still in shock and even after looking at the exam breakdown, I still have no idea how I passed.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to God and Rhonda!
