Magical Health For My Baby.
Submitted by: Magical and Grateful
United Arab EmiratesA grateful mother, wife, daughter, writer, and Dermatologist.
First of all, I’m truly thankful to Rhonda Bryne because she has changed my life. She has made me the best version of myself and I have everything over and beyond what I can ever imagine because of her. I’m a grateful person thanks to Rhonda and she is on my gratitude list every single day.
So I have many great stories to share and today I want to share something that happened sometime back during the lockdown. I was pregnant when the lockdown happened. I was overwhelmed and anxious just like everyone else, and all my plans had come to a standstill. I wanted to do a scan for my baby but I couldn’t visit my regular radiologist who happens to be the best one around.
So I thought of visiting someone at my hospital who also happened to be a friend. I was around 30 weeks pregnant and I had already gotten all of the routine scans and other care prior to this and everything was absolutely perfect.
When I saw this other doctor, he told me that there was something wrong with my baby’s kidneys. I would probably need to see a nephrologist after the baby was born and he might need to be operated on. Also, he said that he sees a double cord around the neck of my baby which means I would need a scan every other week and I might need a C section.
I freaked out naturally. I was in tears as I told my husband, who was in a different country due to the lockdown. I gathered all of my courage and called my usual radiologist office. I was so grateful that they were open and were also kind enough to give me an appointment for the next day. That whole day I was upset and Googled. I called my other colleagues to get their opinions. But just before I went to sleep, I imagined that I was going to see magic tomorrow. I imagined that the doctor I was going to see the next day would be the Universe itself! I imagined the exact normal measurements of the kidneys in my head and felt as grateful as I could.
The next morning during my scan, I did not mention anything to her. And just as I had imagined, in her calm, comforting, ‘Universe like’ voice, she said that everything was perfect. The kidneys were perfect and she gave the exact measurements for them that I had in my head. It was like magic!
Towards the end of the scan, I asked her if there were any cord loops around the baby’s neck. She said that the cord was lying across the baby’s neck but not in ‘loops’. She said that even if there were loops, it really did not matter as the cord is like the baby’s toy and they move it all around and then move it all around again. The only issue with it being wrapped around its neck would be something that might affect things if it was like that during labor.
That was the last scan I did until my perfectly healthy, baby boy was born during an absolutely smooth and easy, normal vaginal delivery. I am so grateful to the Universe for my baby boy’s perfectly healthy kidneys and everything else. Thank you for The Magic. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
