We were trying to buy a house and we paid a lot of money, $30,000, as the initial payment. Later we discovered that the property had a lot of issues that had not been known to us earlier. The time frame to get our money back was already over so we had no hope of getting our money back.

The odds were really stacked against us and even our lawyer was not optimistic that we would get our money back. Still, I kept visualizing getting our check back. I am so bowled over by the fact that it is like science, it works! Ask, believe, let go and be happy is all I needed to do. I had told my husband that we should get the check back in 10 days.
