Thank you to all that are sharing your stories. They provide wisdom which grows all of our knowledge and increases our vibration.

I had a lifelong dream of seeing the Perseid Meteor Showers. I had never seen a “shooting star” before and I really wanted to. I knew that our best chance was to go away from the city lights to a dark sky, so many months ago I booked a cabin in the middle of nowhere.

My young children, my husband, and my mom came on the trip. During the first day, we were all in dismay to see that the skies alternated between clouds and haze. There was a nearby wildfire and it was often very smoky. Throughout the night, we adults would keep waking up to not a single star visible, much less the meteor shower. My children were sad. Everyone was disappointed.

On the second day, I decided that my mind was powerful and that I could turn this around. I knew that I needed to use the knowledge I had learned from The Secret. I began declaring that the skies would clear and I knew it would work. If anyone in our group would point out the haze, the smog, or the smoke from the fire or even just clouds, I would confidently say “It’s okay. It will be gone tonight”. I truly felt this way. I visualized people asking us about our trip and us saying, “We didn’t see anything the first night but the second night was amazing. We saw so many shooting stars.” I felt confident and happy.

We went to bed the second night to a clouded sky. I still knew it was going to be fine. I set an alarm for the middle of the night and even told my children we would see meteors in just a few hours.

We awoke in the night to a spectacular sky. It was totally clear without a single cloud and no haze from the fire. My children said there were “millions” of stars. The Milky Way was clearly visible in all its glory. And the Perseid Meteor Shower was on full display, producing a shooting star about once per minute! It was glorious! We were all in awe.

As we drove home that morning, we were moving away from a raging forest fire. That area would be evacuated later that day. The smoke had totally obliterated the sky, making it gray everywhere. But our special night before that with perfectly clear skies was just for us!

I moved smoke from a forest fire so we could see the sky. I will always be forever grateful!
