I was visiting my family 2000 miles away from home. My sister had just recently given birth to my nephew so I decided to drive there instead of fly, as I didn’t want to risk catching anything and passing it on to the baby.

On the drive there, I kept seeing ‘Angel Numbers’, which was my first sign. Not only did I feel it, but I knew in my heart this trip was going to be life changing. I just did not know how.

I was not doing the best financially, and I recognized how that had been holding me back. So on one particular night, I thought heavily about being debt free, how much I disliked having a car payment and how that money could be used for better things.

The following day, I was driving from my mom’s house to my sister’s place. At an intersection, I somehow did not see a car and it ended up hitting me going at least 35 mph. Fortunately, they hit the A-pillar which has a lot of structural integrity. My niece was in the passenger seat and could have been seriously injured or killed if it had hit me even 1/100 of a second later. Instead, we walked out of the car with just a bruise and a small bump. I saw the condition of the car and thought to myself, “This just means major blessings are on their way.” I was as calm as if it never happened. I joked around with the police, even found a dollar in a ditch, and told them it was my lucky day, which I still believe it was to this day. For the gentleman that hit me perhaps not as much as he ended up with head injuries from not wearing a seatbelt but he was OK.

After dealing with insurance, it was determined that my car was totaled. I had not owned the car for that long so the value of the car exceeded what I owed by $500, and my car payment was gone!

Because of all this, it got me thinking about how I could reinvest the car payment money, and I found my golden ticket to creating wealth. I am beyond grateful!

What is really crazy is that I had another car at home with minor transmission problems but it still worked OK. I had thought about selling it before I left, but decided against it and that I would do it once I got back. Now I still have a running car, no car payment, and my golden ticket! While I would have preferred to get $15,000 to pay off the car instead, I do not always get to choose how it happens.

Now I have absolutely no fear and anxiety about the future. I know I was being set up for success. Even if I get sued, the worst case scenario is that I lose and file bankruptcy, then I can just rebuild my credit. Who cares as ‘I am’ a millionaire 3 years from now, so why worry about it?
