I have been off birth control since age 24, I stopped right before getting married. I am now 30. My menstrual cycle has been irregular since high school, and prior to getting married, I wanted to let my body balance out after being on the pill to regulate my cycle for ten years, starting at age 15.

At first, when I went off the pill my period would come every 2 to 4 months but then it came less and less often. I had been diagnosed with Lyme and some other chronic illnesses that I had previously used the law of attraction to heal from, but I could not seem to get my cycle regulated. Because I didn’t have a period, I was under the belief that I could not have a baby. I was diagnosed with being in perimenopause at the age of 27. I was also told that because I was petite, I might need to gain a bunch of weight to have a baby and regulate my cycles. I never really felt a strong desire to get pregnant but I knew one day I would want to have a baby.

So, I began taking screenshots of petite pregnant women. I convinced myself that if they could have a baby, then it was possible for me to have one too. I was not actively trying to get pregnant but I was convincing myself of the possibility for me. One morning, I put my hand on my stomach, and said out loud, “I am pregnant right now. Thank you, God, for my healthy baby girl”. I don’t know what drove me to do this, I just did it. I spent the next several weeks craving pickles. I would laugh it off when my husband would say, “You’re probably pregnant”. Because I wasn’t “trying” to get pregnant, I had no resistance.

The funny thing is, I found out on New Year’s Eve that I was pregnant! And the date of conception was right around the time I made my affirmation.

I am now 16 weeks pregnant with the baby girl I had dreamed of. This pregnancy is a God given miracle and I thank God and Jesus every day for this amazing blessing. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
