I bought a copy of The Secret 18 months ago, read it, felt inspired by it, and tried to put some of the concepts into practice. But in retrospect, I didn’t believe it could work, and soon got wrapped up in daily life and forgot about it.

This year, I’d been having a hard time at work and having reached a low, I started to read The Secret again in the hope that it would give me a much needed injection of positivity. Second time lucky I guess!

I decided to start off by trying to manifesting something small to see if I could really make the principles work. I knew it needed to be something I really really liked and wanted to see. My choice was a bird called a Red Robin, which is the national bird of England. I chose the Robin as I’d had a magical moment at New Year during a walk in the country (when I was feeling depressed). I’d heard a bird chirp and for some reason it made me look up. I saw a Red Robin on a branch nearby and felt it was trying to get my attention. When I look back now, that moment has really changed my life. So, I took this image of a Red Robin which I love to see, and I started to think about Robins. I got into the state of imagining them in my mind and the feeling made me feel amazingly calm and happy.

I can’t remember now when I saw my first Robin, and now wish I’d kept a record!! I expect to see Robins everywhere and that’s just what happens – I’ve lost count of the number of Robins I’ve seen! My partner says they follow me – I’ve yet to explain why. Today I saw two in the park, the day before yesterday it was three, all in different spots. One of the most spine-tingling moments was when a robin landed on top of a post in my driveway right in front of me, just when I was driving past! Every time I see one I just think, “Oh my god, this stuff really works!!”

I’ve now started to use the Secret for bigger life changes, and I’ll keep you posted on the results! It really is all about feeling and believing.
