For several years I was a partner in a small law firm that I bought into with the hope of making a lot of money and providing a wonderful life for my family. I had to put up a tremendous amount of money with the hope that my investment would easily pay for itself within a short period of time. Unfortunately it was a complete disaster for me. I had to make the decision of sticking it out with my partners whom I loved very much, or make a clean break and start my own firm. There was so much negative emotion in our firm it was very difficult to make money. After several years of suffering and severe mental torment, I knew I had to change my life. Most importantly I knew I had to make a wonderful life for my son, and staying in the firm was simply not an option.
