A very dear friend of mine introduced me to The Secret almost a year ago, and to this day I am mastering the Secret beliefs of believing, showing gratitude, and being happy and positive all the time.
I have a story that proves the Secret really works if you truly believe. My story starts off like this. I won an item back in September 2007 on ebay. The item cost $340 – this included shipping. I asked the seller if I could pay in installments and then ship the item once it’s paid in full. The seller agreed and was very cordial. She informed me that any payments I make would be noted and applied to my order.
Well time passed, and I paid the final payment for the item in January, 2008. When I contacted the seller to see when I could expect the item to be delivered, she informed me that she didn’t recall who I was, nor did she have proof that I bought anything from her, or that I paid for anything. She basically told me that in order for me to get my item, I would first have to prove that I won the item, second prove that I paid for the item, and then send copies of proof of payments.
I was in utter astonishment when I read this, and after battling with this seller that I did pay as promised, and sending her all I could find to show proof of payment, she said she would send me my item. All I had to do, since she didn’t have a hard copy of my order, was for me to remind her in a couple of days to send a tracking number so that she can tell me when to expect my item to be delivered. This went on for three weeks. On the third week, she tells me that I should have received my item, and after looking into it, she informs me that the item had been discontinued. That is why it didn’t arrive. She offered another item in its place, but I requested a refund instead. Seeming to be understanding, she said that she would put a refund check in the mail within the next couple of days.
This was early March, 2008. So I waited, remembering what Lisa said on the cd to have unwaivering faith – I know like I know, like I know, it’s going to be there. But every day for a week, I would check the mailbox, and nothing. So I contacted her again, she tells me she had been ill and that her husband mailed the check the previous Tuesday. So I waited again, another week, and still nothing. At this point, doubt started setting in. And the universe followed my command of it not showing up. So again, I notify her that the check had not shown up. She tells me if it doesn’t arrive by the following Tuesday, to let her know and she’d send another. By this time, I’m starting to wonder if I’m being a victim of a fraudulent act. And I bring my thoughts to her attention. She gets offended and then we argue about the whole situation again.
Another week goes by, and still nothing. Neither check arrives. It’s been a month now, and a total of two months since I paid for the item in full. I even called ebay and the local police around Easter. They told me to file a fraudulent report against her. Ebay also said they would take action against her too because this was against their policy. After a couple of weeks, I received a call from the police letting me know that this is a civil matter, and in order to get my refund, I would have to file suit against this seller.
At this point I tell myself that I’m causing this check not to show up by my negative thinking and actions. So I start to listen to the cd’s again faithfully, several times a day. I tell myself that I am grateful that I have received my refund in full by the following Monday. So I email the seller the Friday before, asking her in a positive way to please send the refund via Paypal. I mentioned that if I didn’t hear from her by that Sunday, I would be forced to call an attorney on Monday. I mentioned that I would rather not make that choice because I know we can settle this peacefully like adults, and I just would like my money back and to please submit the refund through my Paypal account. This way, we both have record of the transaction.
I didn’t hear anything for a couple of days. But I kept telling myself that I was so grateful that this seller refunded me my money through Paypal. On Monday morning I checked my email, and there was a response from the seller and Paypal at 12:30am earlier that morning. It read that she had refunded my money to my Paypal account. The email from Paypal read that it was available immediately. She even mentioned that she wished we could have done things this way in the first place, and she apologized for the mix-up.
I was so thankful to God and the Secret for helping me get my refund back. I did believe, and I did receive…….
The Secret does work!!!!!!
