Our Back Yard

We moved into our dream home in 2004 and wanted to renovate our backyard in the summer of 2007. In the spring of 2007 my wife said she wanted to landscape the yard, but we could not afford it. I said to her we will get it done no matter what. I believed that we were going to be able to use the backyard for the summer and enjoy it so much. She basically wrote off the pursuit because it was too expensive and we did not want to go into debt to finish the backyard.
In may of 2007 I entered a contest to renovate the back yard. In fact it was a solar makeover. I thought there would be little lights and that was it. I said to myself, I am going to win the contest.
In June 2007, our backyard was landscaped, and $40,000 worth of solar equipment graces our house, and we make money from the production of electricity which we sell to the province. In fact it costs us about $20 a month to heat our hot water!!!
I am currently listening to The Secret on audio, as I am not a big reader. It is very inspiring to hear the contributors and have them share their Secrets. In fact I regularly find a convenient parking spot wherever I go.
