I am an academician who wanted to teach in a particular institution in India, one of its premier universities, actually. I was not sure whether I could ever get through, considering the rumors floating around about nepotism. But, unknowingly, I often visualised myself teaching in that university and felt good about it, though I had serious doubts. The university in question published an advertisement seeking application for the post of Assistant Professor and I had the required qualifications to apply. I did. But the advertisement was canceled. This was in 2011.

The advertisement was published 2 years later, in 2013. I reapplied. However, the interview letter never came. All this while I was teaching in a college and was happy about my job. But deep down somewhere, the desire to teach in that institution did not die.

One evening in August 2015, I received a call from a friend who barely ever called me. She said, “Tomorrow, do you have an interview at ABC institute? I am deliberately changing the real name. I saw your name on the shortlist of interviewees they have published on their website”. I had not got any hard copy of the interview call. I was confounded. I checked their website and my friend was right. My name was shortlisted. There were 30 interviewees appearing for one post. I called up the university and they informed me that if I didn’t get the interview letter, I could still show up, since my name was in their final shortlist.

I did an affirmation at least 1000 times that day and on the day of the interview. When I arrived, I discovered I knew some of the other competitors. One of them secretly informed me there was already a preselected candidate, and there was no chance of my getting through. I was unfazed and stuck to my hope, believing in my affirmation. I appeared before the interview board and after 40 minutes when the interview was over, I came out satisfied that it went well. I gave it my best shot and left the rest to the Universe. Here, I should mention that I did those affirmations in Sanskrit, given to me by a friend, who did not tell me that this was called the LOA. I came to know about the LOA theoretically in 2018.

After 7 days, I received a letter from the university that I was selected for! I was overjoyed and my gratitude knew no bounds! I was so happy that I pinched myself to assure myself that it was not a dream. Hundreds of resistant forces were working against my selection. I knew it. Yet, I had gotten the post.

I joined after a month. I was given the key to my new office. As I was about to enter the office, a colleague came and said, “Why don’t you sit in my office, since I am moving to another one?” I accepted. And here comes the surprise. It was the same office where I had been visualising myself whenever I thought of teaching at that University. I was flabbergasted. What was happening?? I had no words to explain this miracle.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I now understood that the Universe was rearranging itself to get me in for 4 years, from 2011 to 2015. And I clung on to my hope all this time but was not sure of the outcome. This is to date, my greatest manifestation. I am very grateful to the Universe for this even today, every day. The LOA works!
