Ever since I was a young girl, I have always loved babies. As I got older, I found myself still yearning to be around young children and babies. Whenever I saw babies out in public or on TV, I would get this spark inside my soul that just evoked so much sincere joy and happiness within me. I had this reoccurring vision for years of a bunch of babies climbing on me and me holding me. Having many children hanging onto me at once, as I sat there smiling and loving every second of it.

When I transferred to the University I currently attend, I found out that they had a child care center on campus. I filled out an application to volunteer there, but unfortunately I never heard back from them. In the meantime, I kept writing down that my goal was to work with young children in a daycare setting.

Fast forward to a year later. I kept getting a call from an unknown number. Without realizing that my voicemail box was full, I never thought twice about this mystery number calling me since they did not leave a voicemail. However, one day I decided to just pick up the call out of sheer curiosity. This happened right as I was listening to a podcast about manifesting your dreams and desires. The call was from the lead teacher in the infant and toddler room at the daycare center, asking if I was still interested in working there and if I was available for the summer. While I initially applied just as a volunteer, I was told this position was a paid position. It came at the perfect moment when I was just getting ready to start searching for a summer job. I couldn’t believe it!

I truly believe that I chose to answer that call at the right time in my life, when I was ready to receive this blessing. I knew my desire to work with babies was there for a reason. I am now so completely happy and thriving in my job, working with the infants and toddlers. That vision of having babies climbing on me came true! Almost every day I am sitting on the floor with two babies laying on my lap and another holding onto the side of my arm in the playroom.
