A Bottle Of Water.
Submitted by: Nadalia
KenyaI am a daughter, wife and mother to two sets of beautiful twins. Life is wonderful if you exercise the art of positivity.
Before starting I would like to give my utmost thanks to the Almighty Lord for enabling me to write this story and for blessing me with resources to access this beautiful platform. Also thank you to Rhonda and her entire team for enabling us to access such information with ease to help us strengthen our faith. Also I want to say and thank you to me, for processing all this knowledge to bring a positive change within myself.
My story may not be the norm but it certainly shows that LOA is working every second around us whether we realize it or not. Around 3 weeks ago I traveled to my Capital city in Nairobi and went to a shop similar to Target. As I was roaming around I picked up several things which I liked, then I reached the section where they had bottles of water. I looked at them one by one as I wanted a new one but I did not like any of the ones displayed. So I just lightly shrugged and moved on. Literally I forgot all about it.
Then about 3 weeks later my mother in law gives my mum a bottle of water and tells her this is for my daughter in law (me). I rejoiced. The bottle was actually beautiful. Not the type I would buy but I thought it was kind and loving of her to buy me this bottle just as I was looking for one and she didn’t know that I was. I picked up the phone and told her thank you, and now here is the twist. She tells me the bottle is not mine and that it was for my mother. It was because there was another lady with them and she did not have an extra one for the other lady so that’s why she told my mother to give it to me. I felt slightly disappointed but I didn’t make it a big deal and I returned the bottle to my mum.
As I was leaving for work, something told me to open this cabinet where my mother keeps plates, bowls etc. I just felt the urge to open it and check inside if there was a spare new bottle for me to take. And oh my God! Within a second of opening it my eyes landed on this beautiful 1 litre bottle. It caught my eye immediately because it was so beautiful and amazing! And you cannot imagine how many times I have opened and closed that same cabinet, yet I never saw this bottle before. It’s like an angel placed it there specifically for me to find today!
And so I understood. That you know, sometimes when we feel disappointed that something did not happen for us, it doesn’t mean that it will never happen. It just means that the way it is meant to happen is supposed to be better and more thrilling than the way we wanted it to happen and if we stop pondering so much and feeling so much disappointment and negativity, we would immediately be directed towards that which will bring much joy to us! More than we could ever imagine! And so when they say ‘let go’, it doesn’t mean you let go of your desire, it means you let go of your resistance surrounding your desire for it to flow swiftly into your life.
I hope this inspires you all out there. Much love and God bless!
