My mom received The Secret as a gift from a close family friend over the summer I was going into high school. Our friend had said that she thought The Secret would be really easy for me to use.

After watching The Secret I tried using it a few times here and there. The one thing that was important to me, that I wanted more then anything, was to make my high school soccer team.

I had been out of a season due to other sports, I had never done competitive unlike all the other girls who were trying out, and I was on an injured leg for over a year. I was such an underdog.

Every day before tryouts I would imagine myself on the team. I would imagine myself playing with my high school jersey. I kept telling myself not to worry because I was going to make it.

As luck would have it, after three grueling weeks of tryouts, I made it. I guess I didn’t realize what an effect the Secret had, but now looking back on it, the way the Secret made me think about how I was going to make it and how I could imagine it, definitely made that goal possible.
