My life wasn’t great as a child. I had a mother that put alcohol before me and my father wasn’t on the scene. So I always looked out for myself and always depended on myself. I was very hard and never let many people into my life. I had a great family on my mother’s side who always looked out for me. I would always look at my friends with their families and wished that was me. So I would say that that’s what I want when I have my own family.

Fast forward to my teenage years. I went on my first girl’s holiday at 19 and fell head over heels in love with someone that lived in another part of the country. As young teenagers it was hard to keep it going but I knew he was the one for me. After a year it fizzled out, partly due to my insecurities as I always found it hard to trust anyone. So we parted and I got on with my life.

One day about 7 years later, a friend introduced me to The Secret. I read it with in 2 days and I was hooked! I loved the fact that it sounded so easy. I gave it a go. While I had thought that I was doing what it said, looking back now, I didn’t feel good inside and that was why I didn’t attract anything.

I had a son along the way but I wasn’t with the father. I was trying to get a place of my own which was a long hard road. When I finally got it I thought that it would make me happy but after a while I still was looking for something to fulfill me. So I picked up The Secret again and started it again. I went to mass and thanked the Lord every day for all that I had. I was very lucky to have a good job and a roof over our head.

Still I was looking for my soulmate. I went on dates but I never felt much as they all turned out to be not my type. So I put up a vision board and put up a list of attributes of my perfect partner. I started sleeping on my side of the bed and cleared out my wardrobe.

Then all of a sudden, out of the blue after 13 years when I least expected it, my first love got in contact with me! My stomach flipped! We met up and that was it! We fell madly back in love and within 2 years I moved to where he was. We had a child together and we got married. He makes my life complete and I’m happy inside for the first time in a long time. I’m content.

It’s so true that you attract what you put out. I used be so jealous of other people being happy when what I needed to do was be happy myself!

I want to thank The Secret team and Rhonda for The Secret book. It has helped me so much! I carry it in the car all the time and when I have spare time I reread it. I also thank God who helps me every day. The Secret works! You just have to feel happy first and I promise you will attract great things while feel fantastic.

I look forward to what’s coming next. It is exciting. I have a new vision board and it is proudly placed in my kitchen for everyone to see. That also helps other people to think about where they are in their life and to also give it a go. So if you’re not feeling great, pick it up and give it a read, it is life changing.
