When I was little, my parents raised me with the classic Disney Cartoons. Every time I saw advertisements for Disney World on the VHS tapes in the trailer section of the film I was watching, I wanted really badly to go. However, my parents were low-key people with modest jobs. So the outcome that I had playing in my head to asking if we could go was always, “No, it is so far away” or “We can’t afford that” or “It’s too much”, etc. Nonetheless, even when I got to my teen years, I would always watch Peter Pan, Bambi or Snow White when I was feeling nostalgic.
I was introduced to the Secret at 15 years of age in Drama Class. Everything clicked immediately because I realized that I was already doing much of the visualization tricks referred to by the experts on the DVD when I really wanted something. Later on when I graduated from high school, I went to an event and saw a hand-autographed photo of Walt Disney being sold by a collector at one of the stalls. I didn’t buy it, but you’ll see the connection later.
When I was in College, I bought The Secret book and read it, then started putting things more whole-heartedly into practice. During my second year in school I was walking dogs and that summer I met a lady who worked for Sunwing Airlines. One day we were small-talking before I walked her dog. She asked if I had ever been to Disney World. I said “no” and she asked if I wanted to go for a day “this winter”. I was floored and ultimately, we ended up staying for 2 nights and visited 3 parks.
But that’s not the end. In fact I have to back-track a little bit. You see, when I thought of going to Disney World, I saw myself getting the whole experience; meeting all the characters, eating at all the restaurants, seeing all the parks and soaking up everything! Well, it turned out that during the school year before I went with that lady mentioned above, my Mom had received an email from my aunt containing an extraordinary proposition. I was invited to go with her, my uncle and two cousins, both of whom are married and have their won kids to go to Disney World. It was for nine days and to see all the parks, including Downtown Disney with all the shops and merchandise.
When I went that time, it really was a dream come true. My uncle even surprised me with a photo of Walt Disney, which I had never seen even on the internet, with a forged signature under his picture. And to top all that off, I got to spend one of those nine days at Universal Studios with my aunt and uncle and tour the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter. I am a huge Harry Potter fan, too.
So that’s one “hugey” out of all the other things that I have attracted into my life. My next Disney plan is to go to Florida again, see all the parks and get kissed by every single princess on every part of my face. And, I have are many, many more big plans as well!! I am ecstatic!
