Achieving My Dreams.
Submitted by: Lawrence
PhilippinesI'm a Law graduate in the Philippines. Just took the November 2015 Philippine Bar Examinations and waiting for the very good results coming in a few months. I am a former journalist, having worked for a local newspaper as an Associate Editor and was once a correspondent for a prestigious daily broadsheet in our country. I am married, but me and my wife has not yet been given a child. But we're praying. I really want a comfortable, healthy and happy life.
First of all, I would like to thank Rhonda Byrne and her team for sharing The Secret with the world. I also read The Power and The Magic and watched The Secret movie many times.
Here’s my story:
Ever since I was in grade school, I dream of becoming a successful lawyer. I also dream of becoming a professional chess player, a famous writer, and a person with outstanding health and wealth.
I studied hard when I reached high school and college, but somewhere along the way, I learned the vices of smoking and drinking. I smoked and drank a lot, until I realized that it would lead me to nowhere. When I finished college, I started working as a journalist but my meager salary was all spent for my bad vices. I wasn’t able to stop my vices, and had no savings. But I still had my ambitions of becoming a successful lawyer, a famous writer, a very good chess player and a man with no bad habits. I went to law school, studied hard and finished the course with high ratings. But still was not able to stop my vices.
In 2012 while I was reviewing for the Bar exams, I stumbled upon in a bookstore the book by Rhonda Byrne entitled The Power. I read it and tried to practice the law of gratitude. I also bought The Magic and read and practiced it. Little by little my life changed and I began to look at the good side of all things. But honestly, I still had doubts then.
Then the worst thing happened: I failed in the 2012 Bar exam, my first try. I felt humiliated, and negativity and self doubt became an instant companion. I tried to review again for the Bar exam the second time in 2013, avoiding vices and practicing gratitude, but again, I failed it the second time. It seemed the legal profession was not for me. I tried to forget it but I was still hounded by the two failures and never achieving my dreams.
In 2014, I did not review for the Bar as I was cash-strapped and instead worked in the law department of a prestigious company in the Philippines. I was happy since I was earning, but deep inside I still wanted to achieve my dream of becoming a successful lawyer. With nothing to lose, I read and reread again the books by Rhonda Byrne and watched The Secret movie again and again.
Then, good things happened. I improved my health, my wife got a job abroad and wanted me to review again for the 2015 Bar exams with her supporting my finances. I reviewed in what I believed to be the best review center in the country, studied hard again and felt confident when I took the exams.
I manifested that I can once again take the Bar exam and have a healthy life with amazing energy and a positive attitude, thanks to the Law of Attraction!
Right now, while waiting for the positive results of my exam, I keep a journal of things that I really want. I wrote in it every day and I’m reaping the benefits the Universe is giving. I feel confident that I will passed the exam with high ratings so I am enjoying the benefits of The Secret now.
Thank you Rhonda and your team for sharing The Secret with the world!
