Job In Greece!
Submitted by: Gabrielle
GreeceHi. I live in Greece but I consider myself as a citizen of the world. I am pretty much artistic and I love singing and dancing and participate in two theater troupes for amateurs. I am 30 years old but feel much younger.
I was unemployed for 2 years. I was really sad but decided to start doing my hobbies and give private lessons to children in order to have some revenue. Not much, just for my expenses, living as if I were a teenager. The crisis affected a lot of our lives.
I decided not to give up. I went to almost all available interviews. Most of them sucked. I heard things such us: “We rejected all candidates who had children”. “You will have to work from 8am to 6pm and 8pm to 11pm of the same day for 460€”. “We received thousands of resumes”. Sometimes I had to wait for an hour before the interview started.
Finally I found a job and with normal salary!!
I know it’s not easy, I know many people feel desperate, especially in south Europe. But please, please don’t give up. Keep searching and thinking of the proverb “Every obstacle is for good”. Know that a miracle will happen.
