I would like to say thank you to Rhonda and her team to have shared The Secret. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I was introduced to The Secret movie” by a friend and I was so fascinated by the movie. It really opened my eyes and heart to the possibility of the what I could change. When The Secret was introduced to me, I did practice it, but not to it’s full potential. I would forget about it for weeks and months.

When I read the books The Magic and The Power I started realizing that we were not brought on this earth to suffer, that God loves us too much to let us feel miserable and feel that bad things will always be happening to you. He gave us free will for us to choose what to believe, our belief controls who we are and what we choose to be.

I have grown children from a previous marriage which I have loved since the day they were in my womb. I was with their father for twenty years, he was my first love but I couldn’t fix him, the more I tried to help him the more addictions he would have. I didn’t want my children to live and grow up in that kind of environment. I decided to go back to Business school to try and find a better job.

I believe that the Heaven above sent me my friend, my soul sister, we called each other, but mostly she was an Angel. We had meet at Business school. Today she is in heaven, it has been over ten years she has been gone. She taught me about being strong, to express myself, to be independent and gave me the courage to leave my toxic relationship that I and my children were living in. She also introduced me to my present husband. Her sickness and her death made me realise that life is precious. I do believe she was put into my life for a reason but I miss her every day!!

I’m married to this most wonderful man for the last six years, we are so much in love that it’s never been this good for the last 15 years. Our relationship had it’s ups and downs, but now I appreciate him so much that in return he is easy going, hard working, he’ll do anything for me. He works twelve hours a day, he’ll come home and make me relax and I’ll do dinner. If I make plans for dinner with a friend or decide to bring the grand kids for a sleep over, everything is always good with him.

By using gratitude two years ago, we have been able to buy our dream cottage that you can only get to by water access. It’s on a small lake where the fishing is amazing! There is only fourteen cottages, some weekends there is nobody on the lake but us. It’s a little piece of heaven. The cottage was one of my husband’s wishes.

I had a job for an independent retail company that paid very well. My employer and myself we used to buck horns together, but he liked the way that I could take care of things when he was not around, our staff use to call me the Friday girl. I loved my job, but then he sold the company to a competition. Those big corporate companies function differently, so my position was terminated because of the budget. That was ok, because I wasn’t happy following their rules and the negativity that had built up in that store was very hard to handle. I was being brought down, that was how I felt and then I could see things going wrong around me and to me.

I found a temporary job in a law firm for nine months. It was not going to well but I knew that was just a stepping stone until the perfect job came to me. I made a list of what I wanted in a job. Very good salary, vacation time, sick days, good benefits, pension, good people to work with that become like family.

My sibling told me about a part time position available at another employer like his. So I applied for it, but nothing had happened. My brother’s employer had someone who was not able to comprehend the position they had created 9 months in the benefits department. The company that my sibling works for offered me her position and I got the perfect position that I had on my wish list.

Now I have a great salary. I make lots more the my last position, same holidays to start, 12 sick days per year, free lunches every second week, free benefits and they put almost 30% into my pension. If I have an appointment they don’t dock me, more than my wish list! With my perfect job, I was able to afford to purchase my new vehicle that I had on my wish list.

I wake up every morning by being grateful for everything that I have and I go through my list when I get up. Every morning I ask for a safe drive to work with less traffic.

The thing is my friends, you have to belief and be positive, it is a powerful tool, no matter if there are obstacles, keep believing it will come true.

It took me a long time to write my story, I could write more miracles that have happened to me. I will end this by saying thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you. Keep writing your stories because, they inspired me to finally write mine.
