Seoul, South KoreaI am a Romanian student currently living in South Korea, 20 years old, writer, dreamer and nature lover.
I felt like sharing my story with you guys because I believe that there might be people who still do not completely believe in the Law of Attraction and Gratitude. So, if one of those who are reading this story is you, the negative guy that believes Law of Attraction is a stupid thing, then I tell you it really will be if you keep on thinking that way.
It is true, every in the beginning might seem difficult, but once you achieve your dream that awesome feeling makes you believe you are able to touch anything.
I was just a normal high school student back in 2009. I got to like South Korea thanks to a classmate. One year later I had decided that I wanted to go and study there, so I checked if there were any scholarship programs. The embassy told me that they do not provide any scholarships so I just got used to the idea.
But in the 3rd year of high school one of my familyâs friends told me about her nephew who saw the movie The Secret and who was studying in USA after being rejected for the scholarship once. I saw the movie and I started to apply The Secret as much as I could.
But I felt that the results were not the ones I expected. So, I thought the movie was not enough. I went to the bookstore and searched for motivational books. There was The Secret, it caught my attention, but I did not buy it because I just found it too expensive. But after leaving the place I was still thinking how much I wanted it, and I continued thinking so in the following days.
Then a month or two later, my mom went in a different city for a training course. When she came back she gave me the book I wanted so much. I was so happy that I read it in 2 days.
Then, unexpectedly, in February 2013, while I was searching something on the internet, I found by chance an awesome scholarship in South Korea. They were covering all the costs and then I said to myself that I will do this. It is my dream, so it doesn’t matter how hard it is, I will make it.
In October 2013 I applied for the scholarship but I didnât make it to the finals. I felt so down. I was sure that my parents were so disappointed. But then I remembered that I have to be strong, saying to myself that my dream cannot die so easily.
The year I stayed in Romania was awesome. I got to know people related to South Korea and I learned a lot of new things. I was even a volunteer in a project that was completely new for me, more exactly, in contemporary art.
So when October 2014 came, I applied again. A encountered a lot of difficult again.
But in the end I made it!!
Now I am living my dream, with all costs covered. For 5 years!!!
