My story is only one of a number of examples I could cite regarding how the The Secret has changed my life. This recent story was very significant and impacted on my belief that if you follow the steps in the The Secret amazing things happen.

My husband and I were travelling in the USA on a family holiday which also coincided with my daughter getting married in New York City. That is another example of the power of the law of attraction which I will have to write about about another time.

We decided after the wedding in NYC to travel to Boston. This was not a great decision, we should have followed our children’s choices to travel south to warmer climates or stay in NY.

It was February 2015 and was one of the worst winters the east coast of America was experiencing. Boston, before we arrived, already had 5 feet of snow dumped on it. Being Aussies, we had not experienced anything like it before. It was snowing when we got off the train and the roads were slippery with banks of snow on each side of the streets. Cars were parked but buried under the snow. The temperature was around -10 degrees C and on some days we were there it went down to -15C. That to us, was extreme.

Anyway, after 2 of days of exploring the city and listening to the news that another super storm was about to hit we started trying to get out of Boston so we could finish our holiday and meet up with our children for the last couple of days before flying back to Australia. Our plane flight kept getting changed. I think it was moved or changed or cancelled 6 times. We finally found out that the airport was to be closed on that Sunday, the day we were to leave!

We decided due to the weather we would get the airport on the Saturday afternoon and when the airport opened again after the storm on the Sunday, at least we would be there and not have issues getting taxis to get to our flight. On arrival we were told the whole airport was to close on Sunday. Our flight cancelled and the next flight would be Tuesday. We had booked out of our hotel and there were no others to book into. It looked like we would have to stay at the airport for 2 1/2 days for the storm to clear and to get on a flight.

We were able to talk to the airline ticket lady who gave us, after listening to our story, 2 stand by tickets for a flight due to leave at 6 pm on the Saturday night. There were 8 others also with standby tickets and lots of planes being cancelled as the hours went on. We waited in the lounge listening out for the announcement to say we would board on the flight.

While we waited I put into practice my Secret training and kept the mantra of we will be on the plane flying to Phoenix and having the last couple of days of our holidays with our children in New Orleans. I kept this up for a couple of hours as the planes departure was still not confirmed as the weather was closing in. I finally said to my husband we will be on the plane and we will enjoy the last days of holidays.

To our utter joy and belief our names were called and we had seats on the last plane to leave Boston before the storm!!!

I am so grateful that we got the last seats and were able to continue our journey. If we hadn’t got that plane we would have not experienced Mardi Gras and it would have been a let down from what was a wonderful family holiday.
This story is but just one example I have that shows anything is possible if you follow The Secret, be grateful and most of all, believe.
