Visualising Your Goal.

DSM, Tanzania23 year old, a recent graduate and a volunteer.
After first year at the university, I was confused and I could not handle the pressure and I always reminded myself of my family misfortunes.
I was introduced to The Secret by a friend. After watching the video 2 times and once every month after that or when ever I felt down, I was able to maintain my happiness and had a life goal to be happy.
Then I had my life mapped down on my journal. In 2014 late November I wrote my vision of 2015 and I wrote that I want to do an internship abroad for one year from June 2015. With no idea on how I could do that, having no connections, savings or job. I just trusted the universe. I didn’t plan anything else beyond June 2015 as I was telling myself I wont be around, even at the office I am volunteering at I marked from June I won’t be around.
I had once seen an advert of an organization calling for applications for anyone interested to volunteer in Germany. One morning at my desk I sent my CV and motivational letter. I travelled and forgot about it. On January 12th it was a public holiday and at 5 PM I received a call asking for my name and if I had applied for the exchange program at their office. I answered their questions and they told me to wait for an email if I am called for a face to face interview.
I was called for an interview. The morning of the interview I had no smart, clean clothes to wear. I wore something totally not my style, the money I had in my pocket was my last money, all the way I was convincing myself that I was making a fool of myself. Then I said thank you for being selected, just thank you for everything I had in my life. I got to the interviewing venue and answered all their questions.
After 4 days they had to answer but if you don’t hear from them then it means you were not selected. That day I just stayed at home and by 6 PM I had not received any email. My heart sank, but I said thank you, I tried and life has to move on.
At 8 PM I received an email saying CONGRATULATIONS! I didn’t read the rest of the email, I said the loudest thank you ever. My volunteer service will start in August in Europe.
I know that The Secret works by being grateful, always happy, and visualising your goal. Everyday I say thank you, I don’t remember when the last time I was sad or beyond control. Thank you for changing my life.
