The clock struck 11 in the morning, when the train (Kurla Express) approached the station. All the travelers pouring in and out of the train, agitated and anxious. Every single passenger on board stared at the entrance of the train with brooding eyes, not wanting to miss the 11’o clock train. I watched those eyes, felt eccentric. Deep inside, an intuition that something terrible was going to happen that day.

The train departed exactly at 11:10 AM as per the schedule. All the mortals settled in their reserved seats, now relaxed and laze. Among them were myself and my mother travelling to my native Pune, India for a vacation. The train sped up, its streamlined body overcoming the resistance of the wind very efficiently. Sitting occupied looking outside my window, my eyes appreciating the beauty of nature. I was 7 years old when I experienced this day.

At 5 PM in the evening my stomach grumbled with hunger and my mouth dried with thirst. Mom realized the water bottle we had taken along was empty with not a single drop of water in it. Mom then decided to refill it from the water booth pitched in the next station. As per the train route, there are two stations visits. Gutti followed by Gundkal expected to be arriving in and around 5 PM. Gutti being a small village, the train stops only for 5 minutes, however Gundkal being a junction, the train stops for 20 minutes.

As the train arrived at the next station at 5 PM, my mother’s eyes searched for the station name on the board at the entrance. The first alphabet G in bold on the board made my mother get down in anticipation thinking the station to be Gundkal with the bottle to fill the water. I tried to stop her from getting down, asking her to buy a new bottle instead of refilling it. But she did not listen to me. Not paying any heed to my request mom rushed to the water booth which was quite far off from the train. Totally engrossed in her activity, mom failed to realize that the train had started off, picking up speed after the green signal was on. I was inside the train eagerly waiting for my mother to return. But she didn’t turn up. By the time I could realize anything or take any actions, the speedy train had left the station and I was left all alone in the train with the luggage.

Gosh, what just happened? It was a nightmare for me, unable to digest the fact that I was parted from my mother. A terrible feeling that I would never be able to meet her again. And those were the days when there were no cell phones. I just didn’t know what to do. At such tender age, I was just blank. Words just fall too short to express how I felt at that moment. I was panicked and crying. I could feel my heart throbbing with fear.

At the next station at around 7 PM the station master came up to my seat asking me to get down the train with my luggage. He told me my mother was going to come to meet me here. Totally perplexed, confused and baffled, not knowing whether to trust the station master or not, I had no other choice but to just follow the station master’s orders. I did as he said. I was made to sit in an announcement room with a lady. My eyes and ears all alert, trying to figure out how was my mother going to meet me. The lady was kind enough to offer me a cup of milk. But nothing was going down my throat with fear. Not touching any drink nor any food, I just wanted to see my mother again. Praying God to help me. After 8 hours, a miracle!

And the miracle was I saw my mother walking towards me with the bottle and her purse in her hand. WOOHOO !!!!!

I couldn’t believe my eyes, was that really my mom? Yes! Yes! Yes! It was her! At the sight of each other our happiness knew no bounds. God had heard my prayers. I went running and hugged her tight to my heart’s content.

On asking my mother how she knew I was waiting for her in that station, I learnt that a man from the railway department approached her asking her where she was going. My mother quickly narrated all that had happened to him. Without any delay the man, who had just finished his duty, took all my train details from her, he quickly rang up the station master of the following station asking him to make me get down, giving him all my details. My mother had thought that the train would stop for 20 minutes thinking it to be Gundkal station, but in fact it was Gutti station where the train stopped exactly for 5 minutes. Mom said when she saw the train moving she ran toward it trying to climb up the stairs but fell thrice on the platform. Lots of people tried helping her to get her inside, but their efforts failed. My mother even ran behind the train. My mother had come by a goods train, sitting in it’s engine along with that man and few other railway department people. She had felt the same fear, same anxiousness when she thought she had lost me. This man then helped us get another ticket to the desired place. He helped all throughout, he was a messenger of God, my mother saw God in him. It’s very true that God moves in mysterious ways.

God had heard us. the universe had heard us. I am 24 years old now. This was an incident that happened 17 years ago. When I saw the movie The Secret recently, I was extremely delighted to link the law of attraction to this terrible day I had experienced.
It was The Secret law that had brought the two panic-stricken hearts together again. It was due to the use of the creative process of ask-believe-and receive, which was how I came to meet my lost mother again. I asked for her, believed that I would see her again and received her on that unknown station with that water bottle in her hand. She hadn’t filled it completely, it was still half filled! Our wish was the Universe’s command.

Very thankful to the Universe. This was my Secret Story. Now I use the law for everything I desire. And it just manifests effortlessly.
