I have gone through the success stories on this web site several times in the past few months to keep myself motivated and here I am today, writing my own, in the hope that it will motivate someone to keep believing in The Secret.

I have been a firm believer of The Secret for some time but then it came as a blow when my husband lost his job. We didn’t see it coming. He had been quite dissatisfied at work for some time and would even talk about how he wouldn’t care even if he lost the job one day.

And that’s exactly what happened! The Secret works the negative way, too!!

It took us a while to pull ourselves up and decide what to do next. We are based in Dubai and had 3 months in hand before the employer cancelled the visa. We could continue in Dubai only if my husband found a job with pay that allowed him to sponsor the family and the maid. Not having such a job meant going back to the home country which was not easy, given that the children went to school here and all that.

We decided to apply The Secret positively. We sat and wrote down everything we were grateful for and also wrote down the exact things we wished for: the type of job, the pay, the benefits and made a vision board with suitable pictures. We stuck this up in the room with messages of congratulations. Every day we would look at the vision board, imagine having the new job, going to work again, earning that pay, etc. We also talked about throwing a party once he had the new job and even charted out the list of friends to be invited.

Nothing happened for a couple of months and it was not an easy time. We kept our faith and in around 4 months time, my husband got a good job offer from a very reputed company, just the type of job he wanted. The pay is very close to what we had put down, though not exact. The benefits are also as we had wished for.

He has joined his new office now and it was truly a miracle how everything was aligned for this to happen. We are very grateful for what we have received!!
