I first read The Secret in 2012. A friend of mine introduced me to The Secret at one of the lowest points in my life and I am grateful to her. I would like to start by thanking Rhonda for changing many lives with her book.

Gratitude, ask, believe and receive have been my mantra of life. We are all magnets and my story is about a magnet I attracted in my life. This is just one instance where the law of attraction has worked and has increased my belief in The Universe and it’s energy. As the book says, just ask, don’t worry how it will happen.

I recently visited Mackinac Island. Located on Lake Huron, this tiny island is one of a kind where no motor vehicles have been allowed in the last 100 years or so. The only modes of transport are horses or bicycles. Being an avid horse/animal lover it was a pleasant sight to see some really beautiful draft horses. I have always wanted a horse shoe, as in the Indian culture it is considered to bring good luck. And as I got on the island I asked universe with all my heart to get me a horse shoe.

Next day in the morning we took the Horse Carriage tour which took us around to all the touristy attractions. While on the tour the guide passed a big horse shoe for everyone to see how it looks. I was sitting on the last seat and when the horse shoe was passed on to me I knew this was for me!!! I just wanted to keep it in my bag but my husband insisted we it to the guide as stealing might get us bad luck.

So after the tour was over when everyone left, I requested to buy it or keep it. Surprisingly, the guide said yes. I tipped him $20 and thanked him. After that I sat in other carriages also, but none of the guides even mentioned about the horse shoe.

That made me feel that the universe worked it’s charm to get me one. I thanked universe and I have the horse shoe at my home. 🙂
