It Was Me Who Made The Magic Happen.
Submitted by: Conchita
Asturias, SpainMy name is Conchita. I am a mother of two young menos and I am 53 years old. I have read The Secret, The Power and The Magic. This story happened to me few years before reading The Secret.
I had been in hospital for several weeks already.
I was lying in bed looking through the window and I felt very relaxed and peaceful. I had been quite ill but I was getting better.
There I was daydreaming and I thought, as it was Sunday and I was tired of the food they gave me, that it would be wonderful to have something different for a change. They used to give me a lot of soups, boiled fish and French omelettes and no salt at all. Well I thought it would be great to have a paella with a lot of sea food, croquettes with chips and a fruit yogurt for lunch.
Lunchtime came and a nurse put the covered tray on the table before me, I was really nervous and excited. I lifted the lid very slowly and a shiver ran all over my body.
There were the paella, the croquettes with chips and the yogurt, just as I had imagined!
I started to call my hospital room the “magic room”. I thought it had a magic spell on it. This not only happened that time, but 3 days in a row, at lunchtime and at dinner.
I always remember how much I enjoyed that first meal and how happy and grateful I felt.
On the fourth day the doctors sent me home.
I kept this as a secret for a long time.
A few years later a friend gave me a book called The Secret and I understood that it had not been the room, but I who had made magic happen.
I told my friend my story.
Now when I feel down, I look back and tell myself that I am the one who decides the life I want to have.
Thank you Rhonda, and all the best for the coming new year.
