I really hope this story gets posted!
The Secret story sharing has been an excellent platform to read numerous positive and uplifting stories. I begin each day reading these amazing stories that are sent from all over the world. I hope that my own story gets published here and inspires everyone that reads it.
This story that I am writing is about an amazing man. He has been in my life for the past 4 years and his presence has filled my life with so many blessings. He is extremely loving, sincere and real. The only issue was that he had all the positive energy and trust for me but not for himself. He always felt that he would not be good enough.
He was not brilliant academically but this was due to his laziness when he was younger. However, he placed his mind towards succeeding so as to make me proud. He managed to score a perfect score for his very last semester in his diploma. He then had to serve the mandatory national service for 2 years. Unlike the other boys, he was excited as he had the ambitions of becoming an air force pilot. He always wanted to be pilot. He worked really, really hard. However, he did not make it. He was extremely upset and felt that life was just picking on him.
I told him not to give up. He was too amazing to fail and this could be a sign. He was not getting what he wanted simply because it is not aligned with his true potential!
While he completed his national service, the two of us watched The Secret, read the positive stories published here and even made a HUGE vision board containing all of our dreams and aspirations. His board was filled with many pictures of planes and the sky as he wanted to travel all over the world. We believed wholeheartedly that it will happen, somehow. The how is not out part to figure. We just needed to believe!
And then it happened. The continuous believing led our attention to an advertisement in the newspaper and on the internet. Singapore Airlines (SIA), one of the most prestigious airlines, was opening their recruitment drive for stewards and stewardess! That was it. Despite hearing about countless people who had been rejected repeatedly, he went with 100% confidence that he will make it through their several rounds of interviews.
He is now completing his 2nd month in SIA and will be flying from February 2014. Needless to say, I am extremely proud of him and I am extremely grateful for The Secret that kept reminding us to stay positive.
So for everyone out there who is still struggling or feels that the world is just being unfair to you, just stop for one minute. Stop that thought and tell yourself, that you can make anything happen if you truly believe in it.
