I didn’t find The Secret.

It found me.

I was hurrying past a bookshop one day when I had an urge to go in. I was instantly drawn to the books intriguing name and cover. When I read it I was completely blown away. Everything in the book made complete sense and just felt right. That was in 2006 and since then it has transformed my life.

Before this I had been out of work due to a debilitating back injury that prevented me standing or walking for even short amounts of time. Due to this I had gained a lot of weight and was at the lowest point in life. Through sheer determination ( I now know it was the law of attraction) I started to get better. After reading The Secret I knew I could heal myself completely.

I could write for hours about all the things I have manifested since but I’ll list the big ones:

– A week after reading the book my boyfriend of 11 years proposed. He had been totally afraid of doing it before then.

– My injury healed and I’m now healthier than ever.

– 60,000 euro check. I get unexpected money all the time.

– Bought our dream house

– Lost weight easily.

– Had the wedding of my dreams.

– Holidays when there seemed no way we could afford them.

– Got pregnant the 1st time we tried. Twice!

– Had pain free home births exactly how I imagined it.

Tips I can give is keep yourself inspired and stay “up” all the time. Everyday I wake up listing all the things I’m thankful for and continue this throughout the day. If I want something instead of thinking it might happen, I know deep down it will happen and I act like it’s already happening.

At the moment, I am manifesting my perfect house closer to my family. So instead of waiting for it, I have started to pack up items and I’m decluttering so when we move I’m ready. I’m also looking into things like how to rent my house out. I know when I ask for something the law of attraction has to answer.

How it happens so fast for me is that I’m ready to take action when I see signs.

An example of this was I really wanted a holiday but didn’t have any money and despite everything I was doing to manifest it, it just wasn’t happening. A friend offered me a loan which I rejected because I didn’t want to owe anything but then I thought, “hold on, the universe is offering it to me”, so I accepted the money and booked it. 2 days later an unexpected check arrived that was double what I needed! Sometimes a leap of faith is required!

I am so grateful to Rhonda and everyone behind making The Secret. Thank you also to all the people who post their wonderful stories here, they are so inspiring. It is a great tool to dispel any negativity that may have started to creep back in. I find the visualization tools on the website fantastic. It constantly revives my optimism.

Self improvement is ongoing and I found The Power and The Magic books invaluable for continuing to enlighten me.

I’m so excited to read Hero.
