The Magic And Elephants

Toronto, OntarioI read The Magic over the summer and I have seen so much magic! I used to be a worrier and often thought negative thoughts. This book has changed me!! Thank you Rhonda Byrne!
I read The Magic this summer and practiced gratitude over the 28 days. I have some fantastic stories but I will share my most recent one for now.
This is about one of my Top 10 desires. This is rather long even though I have condensed the story. I am giving all these details just to show you how miraculous this story is!
I live in Toronto, Canada and we have 3 aging elephants at our local zoo. The space, conditions and weather are not good for elephants and some animal advocacy groups have been trying to have them moved to an animal sanctuary in California. Bob Barker had even offered to pay to have the elephants flown over! The zoo voted not to have the elephants moved. Toronto city council stepped in and overruled the zoo decision but then the move was halted again due to controversy over the safety of having the elephants flown out. It was then approved that they could travel by truck but then there were disputes about the credibility of the sanctuary so the move was cancelled again!
The elephants have been in limbo for over 3 years, caught in a tug of war and red tape. I heard that if they are going to be moved it must be by the fall at the latest. So I wrote out my desire “to have the elephants moved to a sanctuary before winter” and asked for it often, especially when I was reminded. For example, one day I saw two clouds in the sky shaped like elephant heads!
I hadn’t heard anything in the media about them for over a year so you can imagine my surprise and joy when I came home from work last week and saw the headline of the newspaper on the kitchen table: “Elephants to quietly hit the road”. They are to be moved just after Thanksgiving weekend which is October in Canada. I was crying tears of joy!!!
This is a great quote from an article in the Toronto Star. Julie Woodyer of Zoocheck Canada, the organization representing PAWS on the elephant transfer said “I can’t believe it myself. It’s all come together. The stars have finally lined up”.
How magical!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for The Magic, Rhonda Byrne and Bob Barker!!!
P.S.
There is also a lonely female elephant named Lucy in the Edmonton Zoo. She is also aging and alone. Apparently elephants are very social animals. Maybe if others who see this story can imagine and are grateful for her transfer to a sanctuary it may actually come true too!!
Thank you!
