I was told about The Secret some years ago and duly went out and purchased the DVD and was actually given the book however as my ex husband didn’t believe in anything like this I found it hard to keep practicing gratitude when it was constantly belittled.

Fast forward a couple of years and I’m now divorced. Having moved into what I thought would be a lovely rented property I was finding life difficult with the neighbours who disliked my cats and I was feeling pretty low about it.

I’m not sure quite sure what made me look at The Secret again, but something did and I looked at purchasing the ebook edition of it so I could dip in and out whenever I pleased, however I noticed there were now another couple of books which had excellent ratings – The Magic and The Power. I purchased The Magic as I already had The Secret and thought I would give it a go. I started practicing The Magic each day as suggested and really felt the gratitude and happiness flowing. I still keep a gratitude journal twice a day and use the gratitude rock at the end of the day and thank the Universe all the time for all the good things I have in my life. I constantly thank the Universe for all the money I have as well.

I started to look at properties to rent or indeed buy but I don’t know why I looked at properties to buy as I didn’t think I would be able to get a mortgage or indeed afford a house at all. However, I noticed a house not too far away from me which was perfect – enough outside space for my cats to roam without neighbours complaining, bigger than my tiny house now so I booked to view it.

I fell in love with this house and immediately started visualising myself living there and how happy I’d be. In the evenings I drive to the house, park up and pretend that I’m going home into the house. The house was new to the market and I really thought it would be snapped up, but no, there were other viewings but no one made an offer.

I decided that I would seek a mortgage and if I could get one (having had a difficult previous financial history) then I should go for the house and trust in the universe to send me the large deposit I need to complete the sale.

I got a mortgage. Still no one had made an offer on the house – so I did and it was accepted. I was and am sooooo happy about this. I’M BUYING THE HOUSE OF MY DREAMS.

At this time I also received several unexpected checks in the post and small lottery wins that will help with the expenses as the transaction goes through, each time I thanked the Universe and am hugely grateful for these amounts coming into my life.

I tell my cats that we will be moving soon and that they’ll like the new house, I’ve shown it to my best friend and she’s excited for me too. Every day I visualise myself living in my new house and feel the happiness it will give me. I’m so looking forward with love and gratitude to the bright and happy future The Secret and The Magic have given me.
