United StatesI am a high school senior ready to go to college and I am absolutely in love with the Law of Attraction!
For every high – achieving high school student, May is a terribly stressful time of year because of Advanced Placement exams. AP classes are advanced classes that you take during the academic year (and they can be very difficult) and then in May you take a really, really long exam covering the material. These exams usually last for between 3 – 4 hours each. You receive your scores in July, and you can score between a 1-5 (1 being the lowest, 5 being the highest), and if you score either a 4 or 5 you can receive college credit.
I have had a really great history when it comes to scoring well on AP exams (due to the Secret, many of the essays happen to be on topics I studied the night before :)), but yesterday was the AP Spanish Language exam and I was kind of freaked out. The AP Spanish Language exam consists of a listening part, a reading part, a writing part, and a speaking part (really, really long).
My fist language is English, and though I have been studying Spanish for five years, it isn’t as though I can speak like a native. So, I was mostly worried about the speaking. However, I am used to using the Law of Attraction, so the night before I stopped worrying. The morning of the exam, I was calm, happy, and I put on a bracelet that a friend had bought me from Mexico. I had visions of myself channeling a Spanish-speaker through it so that I could speak amazingly well. I had visions of myself after the exam saying, “It’s a miracle! I just started talking and didn’t stop!”
So, about three hours after the start of the exam, we arrived at the speaking section. And you know what? I just started talking and didn’t stop! My accent was great and so was my grammar! It was possibly the best thing that has ever happened to me on any AP exam thus far. I was so happy afterwards! Honestly though, I don’t think that I’ve ever spoken Spanish so well in my life. It really was as though I was channeling a Spanish-speaker, and I was able to say, “It was a miracle!” Just as I had envisioned.
I have to thank Rhonda and the Secret team for making this all possible! I don’t think that I could have done nearly so well on the speaking portion of the exam if I had not been in such a great frame of mind!
Needless to say, I will be wearing my Mexican bracelet on all my other exams too :).
Thank you all for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Love, Zara
