The Start Of My Secret

Westford, MAFinding my way.
I have always had this unwavering feeling of curiosity. I always knew that there was something that I was just missing; something that I needed to know. It was The Secret.
I heard about The Secret from my boss, and at the very moment he mentioned it I knew that this was something that I had to learn more about. I went to the store and bought the book and I read it on my flight to Las Vegas, where I was going with a friend for spring break. My goal was to win big while I was in Vegas, but to be honest I was a little unsure of what I wanted. Was it just money that I wanted? How much money did I want? What did I want it for? I read about half of the book, then took a nap on the plane. When I landed, I was so excited to be in Las Vegas that I didn’t go back to it. Throughout the trip I pictured myself pulling the handle of the slot machine and watching the numbers light up declaring that I won a large amount of money. But I was still afraid. I was afraid to lose my money. I did not have that unwavering faith that The Secret needed me to have.
What I did have unwavering faith in, however, was that I was going to get something out of The Secret while I was away. I doubted that it could bring me a million dollars on my spring break, but I was sure that it was going to bring me something. And it did.
My friend and I sat down at a bar one night and the man next to us struck up a conversation. It started out light, but there was something sort of strange about him. He looked at me like he knew something – then he told me that he did. “I don’t know if I should tell you what I know”, he said. I was fascinated and asked him, “What do you know?”
The man put up a little bit of a fight, unsure of how much information he should provide me with; how much I could handle. He explained that he saw a lot in my eyes, mostly pain. He then spoke about The Secret. He told me it was true. It would help me. He promised that I could have anything that I wanted if I used it; that I could change my whole life by believing.
I realized in that moment that The Secret was true, for the confirmation of another was all I had really wanted and was what I sincerely believed I would find. I had never heard of The Secret before my boss told me about it. I had never met anyone else who knew about it. But the moment that I believed that it was true and that there was something to be learned from it, I met someone who confirmed the beauty of and the truth behind The Secret.
I am so looking forward to what The Secret will bring to me, and I would like to encourage everyone to be aware of all of the signs that come your way. Sometimes, the things that you truly want are different than the things that you think you want. Whatever you are asking for deep down, whatever your soul is truly yearning for, you will receive. This I am absolutely sure of.
Today, I am asking the universe for an opportunity. I do not necessarily want a million dollars, but I am asking for a life that is free of stress and that will allow me to spend my days doing whatever it is that I love- particularly working with horses. If that means having enough money to support all of my responsibilities then that is what I am asking for, but I am not focusing on the dollar signs. Instead, I am picturing the way I want to live my life. I am asking for love and for happiness and for things to get easier. I believe with all my heart that this will come to me, and I can not wait to share more stories with you when it does!
