Before I begin, I would like to thank the universe for flooding my life with happiness and warmth.

I was an incurable dreamer. Even if I had about a second of free time, I would have built enough castles in the air to cover the whole sky. The problem was, that it really wasn’t dreaming. It was more of wishful thinking, a sort of escapism, because, well, how could my silly dreams ever come true? And, as you can imagine, with that sort of attitude, none of my dreams came true.

I had always been a pleasantly plump child but due to my extreme frustration with my body I started putting on a lot of weight, I am a embarrassed to say how much. And there was the matter of my studies. I was always pretty good, but as I tried pulling my grades up, i just started getting frustrated. My academics just went downhill from there.

So, there I was, sixteen and just dramatic enough to imagine that my whole life was actually falling apart, chunk by chunk. And then, magically, The Secret came into my life. My mother is a voracious reader and she had come across the book a couple of years ago. I wandered into the library for some sort of book to read and I found the hard bound edition of The Secret. Thinking it was some sort of “The Da Vinci Code” inspired book, I began reading it. My life was never the same after that.

Things turned around, almost immediately. I lost sixty pounds without missing out on a single pizza. I wanted a 93% in my exams, but I actually got 95%!!!
And everyday, however bad it may have been, I feel happy, as if it were the most perfect day of my existence. There is a constant flow of love in my life from all directions and I find peace and contentment in even the most painful of situations.
And I only have The Secret to be thankful for!!

I want to share my story with the world so that it can be an inspiration to all those who read it, just like the many stories in this website have been for me.
