From Doubter To Believer

When my daughter was younger, it was the end of August and I didn’t know how I was going to buy her school clothes. I’m a single mom with one income, but I knew that being depressed or panicked would not help the situation, so I kept thinking to myself, “everything will be fine, she’ll have whatever she needs to start school”. A few days later a friend of mine who I rarely saw, said she was going to stop by with a big bag of clothes, mostly brand-new, because her daughter was too big for them.
Fast forward to a few months ago. My sister told me about “The Secret” movie, and after watching it I went out and bought the book. All of it made sense to me. I’d been using The Secret all along without even realizing it. I decided to share it with a good friend of mine at work who seemed to be very amused with how excited I got about it, but I don’t think he really believed in it. I lent him the book and about a month later he came into my office, kissed me on the cheek, and said “Thank you”. He proceeded to tell me that he was going out of state to announce at a big moto-cross race that weekend. He’d been announcing locally for a few years, but he wanted to do the bigger races and after reading the book he kept visualizing himself doing just that with another announcer he knew.
