I have struggled to make ends meet for so long and of course had many frustrating and frightening times in my life worrying about money (or the lack of).

I have a beautiful Harley that I love to ride and which is my “therapy”. I wouldn’t give it up for the world but I was so poor a few years ago that I borrowed money against it so I could get by during a move and a job change that strapped me financially.

Luckily I have a great friend who loaned me the money, as I turned over the title to him and started to make the payments.

I am SO grateful for him and so grateful I was able to keep my bike, but it was still a struggle to make those $200 a month payments (along with all the other bills I had) & I didn’t have a dime left after payday sometimes, but I made sure to make the payments on my bike.

I recently read “The Secret” and then I read “The Magic”. I started to practice what I read and tried to be grateful for things I had instead of what I didnt have. I even made out the check to myself from the Gratitude Bank of the Universe. Starting out small, I made it out for $1000.

Things magically started to fall into place after I changed my way of thinking, it was amazing. Uplifting, as if I had crawled out of a hole. At first it was little things like a friend offering to cut & color my hair for free, someone sharing a gift card with me, friends buying me dinner, a surprise bonus at work and a raise! It just continued to happen and I continued to become happier and less stressed every day.

I recently turned 50 and my wonderful boyfriend and friends threw a fantastic birthday party for me. I was overwhelmed at the love I felt and the generosity from my friends. I was opening gifts at the party and someone handed me a card and said “open this one”.

So I did and inside was the title to my Harley and the contract for the money I borrowed. The man who was kind enough to loan it to me in the first place had written “paid in full” across it!! I had $1800 left to pay and he signed it off for me.

I burst into tears! This was one of the most touching moments in my life (the whole night was). I was speechless. I also received so many awesome gifts and another bonus at work and a raise. I am so grateful for the things that have happened to me since I have become a believer in The Secret & The Magic and the power of gratitude. It really does change your life but its up to you to get the ball rolling.
